I continuously follow the stylish flow of trends specially when it comes to accessories. So today I bring you the recent changes and shifts of fashion trends in forms and styles of accessories for Spring Summer 2015.
1. Statement Earrings
Over last two seasons there has been so much experimentation with shapes, forms and color of earring that it gave birth to incredible variety of pieces, diversified materials and textures as well as combination with creatively messed up yet homogenous designs.
The earring this season were like those from Marni i.e Massive, they were elongated and glittery like ones from Nina Ricci, oh there was also Fan shaped earring from Cushnie et Ochs, the enchanting Rose gold Swirl from Tory Burch, the maize elongated gold design from Loewe, Minimalistic Prada one, the gorgeous Victorian inspired design from Altuzarra, and the stunning all white one from Louis Vuitton amongst many more.
2. Plate Necklaces
With the return of that 70s vibe bold accessories had flooded the runway, and so did the Bold Breast plate necklaces with curious patterns, geometric shapes or motifs.
The pieces were massive with bold details adding an edge to any petite or feminine silhouette. These metallic forms are enough to prove that you are tough type infact, thus you may choose to go as big as possible. My personal favourite was the numeric framed necklace from Chanel.
Another most interesting form that really caught attention was the most minimalist yet a statement piece were tube necklaces in most varied textures and interpretation.
In varied materials from Ropes, to sort of optical wires and of course the brass tubes themselves. The one that I liked the most was intervened tubes necklace by Georgio Armani.
4. Wooden accents
Jewelry made of wood is not new but this season designers have experimented with shapes and application to give it a much needed breath of fresh air.
Wooden jewellery this season has followed the way to reach the perfection with other ideally worked out forms and details, creating quite innovative and great looks out of this humble material making them noteworthy accessories. Try assorted shapes of wooden bangles like those from Donna Karen.
Intriguing and a bit extraordinary, whats interesting about these pendants is how a relic or an object of art is transformed into jewellery and they were quite noteworthy forms as well.
The inclination towards the ancient charm bracelets is another detail making them so specific. So if you have a vivid personality and want to finish up your look with a statement then opting for one such options is a wise choice. You may feel inspired by the hand-shaped relic pendants by Celine, the stone wrapped with a string by Giorgio Armani, the bizarre chained option by Derek Lam. Its also a very Disable option so to say.
