The Body shop has launched a new skin care range in India called ‘Oils Of Life’ and Im really excited to tell you about them, I have always been a huge fan of oils for the skin, there are four different facial oils sitting on my desk right now. I was sent these products just the time when they were launched and had been using them a little over four weeks so I guess this is the perfect time for me to review the products and share my view.
But before I share my experience about the product let me share what The Body Shop has to say about the products.
Oils of Life is described by The Body Shop as ‘not a miracle but it’s close’ and with three potent precious seed oils which are key to healthy skin and body. Seed oils are known for their restoring properties and are super rich in nutrients. There are three seed oils in The Body Shop ‘Oils of Life’ range and each ingredient is carefully selected for its preserving and restoring quality:
‘Oils of Life’ Range is designed for Mature Skin but any one in any age will benefit as the nutrients rich products provide a much needed boost to your skin.
Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil Rs 3,095 for 30ml
Infused with three precious seed oils and a blend of seven essential oils, we’ve created the Oils of Life™ Intensely Revitalizing Facial Oil. The lightweight and quickly absorbing texture leaves a non-sticky finish, melting onto the skin, leaving it silky and soft. Instantly, skin appears smoother, more radiant, revived, revitalized and nourished. After 4 weeks, the signs of aging appear reduced, wrinkles appear minimized, and skin feels more elastic and firm.
This may seem a pricey product, but when compared to other facial oils on the market I would say it’s very good value for money. Its very light in texture and doesn’t make your skin feel greasy or sticky. A little goes a long way and just a few drops are enough to nourish and revitalize your skin. It immediately makes your skin radiant and glowing. I use it before bed and also before applying my makeup in the morning.
The 30ml bottle comes with a dropper which makes it very handy to control quantity as well as spillage. and for sure the bottle is to fall in love with “tiny with perfect curves” it looks super pretty but as its a glass bottle one must be careful and not play with it.
Intensely Revitalising Cream Rs 2,095 for 50ml
Wonderfully sensorial from the moment it touches your face, this daily cream with a silky-soft texture contains skin-perfecting micro-pearls for more youthful-looking, smoother and softer feeling skin with a non-greasy finish.
This is a lovely thick cream but feels very soft to the touch. Although it’s thick, it doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy but instead well moisturised and a lovely base to apply my makeup. The plant oils are composed of fatty acids which help to nourish the skin and help the seed oils to distinguish between each other. This cream makes your skin super soft from first application. I also feel it would be a great face cream in the winter months too.
I love to apply the Oils Of Life Intensely Revitalising Cream right after the oil because where oils make my skin feel calm and reduces redness this cream makes my skin feel firm.
Those who follow me on Instagram know that I was super stressed and busy with my sisters wedding and skin care was the last thing to think about but these two products proved to be my sole pillars of support as they made my skin look refreshed and happy even after three hours of sleep. I had no breakouts and my skin looked radiant through all the functions and ceremonies.
If you have been using The Body Shop- Oils of Life range or wish to use it please let me know your views and questions I would to hear them.
