The Bodyshop New Launches: Fresh Nude Foundation, Honey Bronze Highlighting Dome & Insta Blur Primer

Fresh New Makeup

Fresh Nude Foundation

Im always in search for a better foundation and my latest find is The Bodyshop’s Fresh Nude Foundation. It has become a blessing for my troubled skin during this transition weather, its an all natural foundation with goodness of aloe and english rose and so light that its practically invisible.

The_bodyshop_foundation

It has a light coverage which you can build up to medium coverage, but the best part about this foundation is the glow it leaves on your skin, I believe it will be a perfect choice for all skin types during the winter, I wont recommend this foundation in summers specially for Indian summers even though its light it fades out really fast during summer practically you will be left with a bare face within two hrs. Having said that if you have dry skin and looking for a light yet moisturising formula this one might prove to be amazing as it provides 7Hr moisturisation.

One more thing to be noted is that even though its light it conceals pretty well, of course not as well as a concealer but rather good for a light foundation. Overall it gives a beautiful glow and makes you look brighter.

Though not enough but it has a SPF of 15 for Sun Protection.

Priced at Rs 1895/- for 30ml its available in Seven shades at al TBS stores as well as online.

Product Description on TBS website:

Make every day a good skin day with Fresh Nude Foundation. Enriched with English rose water and aloe vera, this hydrating formula leaves skin feeling beautifully fresh and comfortable all day. It also contains SPF 15 to help protect your skin. With a semi-matte finish, each of these 16 nature-inspired shades mimics the look of fresh-faced natural skin with a nude glow

Packaging: Its a glass bottle with a black pump as well as a black cap, its a sturdy packaging and I have frequently travelled with it.

Fresh nude Foundation

Texture: It has a very light texture and is runny in consistency, it blends beautifully with a brush, Beauty Blender or your fingers. The description says its semi matt but its very glowy and luminous not oily by nay chance.

Fragrance: The one thing that is very unpleasant is its fragrance, though its not very chemically but its really strong and floral and very distinct. As a matter of fact its unpleasant because its very strong.

Honey Bronze Highlighting Dome

The bodyshop fresh nude foundation & honey bronzer

I have loads of highlighters and Im a highlighter hoarder and the new Honey Bronze Highlighter is as good as I expected, its a perfect highlight for the day, looks perfectly natural and its super blendable. I have The bodyshop honey bronze highlighting dome in number 03 its a light bronzing shade and for winters when the light is dull and grey it makes my complexion bright, I call it my “dose of happy“. Though this is a cream product it has a very silky and texture, its super easy to apply and easier to blend on the high points. This is not very high on color but gives you a beautiful glow that is perfect for when the light hits it, nevertheless if you want more intense color you can build it up by layering the product on my skin tone it takes about two layers to intensify the color.

The downside of this product is the specks of glitter which is not a lot but they are a bit chunky in size and also it doesn’t last as long as I would want it too, max three hrs but its super simple to reapply and as its so small I can keep it in my bag at all times.

Priced at Rs 1195/- for 6.5gm its available in three shades at al TBS stores as well as online.

Product Description on TBS website:

“Highlight cheeks with a natural looking flush of warm shimmer, whatever your skin tone. The creamy, lightweight texture glides onto skin for a soft finish with a delicious honey fragrance. Natural, shimmery highlighter Easy to apply and blend Creamy lightweight texture Available in three attractive shades”

Texture: It is a Cream based product with a dry mousse texture.Apply directly to the cheekbones and blend it gently with fingertips, the product leaves a slight sheen with sheer color and specks of glitter to create a natural-looking highlight.

Fragrance: Traces of beautiful fragrance of honey but its very light.

The BodyShop All-in-One InstaBlur Primer

the bodyshop insta blur primer

Im not a big fan of this primer to be very honest, its a silicone based primer, thick and crumbly gel consistency. Its very hard to work it into the skin, the only trick that works is that I have to apply in swiping motion with fingers and press into the skin really well.

It does a great job at smoothing out the imperfections like fine lines and large pores and my foundation glides over the primer making the application flawless and super easy. When it comes to wear time it does prolong my foundation but it starts to crack around the drier areas on my face specially on my nose and thats when it doesn’t look good. It makes your skin appear dry and flaky which is surely not the look Im going for.

Priced at Rs 1595/- for 25ml its available in single shades at al TBS stores as well as online.

Product Description on TBS website:

“This all-new face perfector blurs imperfections, giving you flawless photo-perfect skin in an instant! With Community Fair Trade marula oil. – Five action perfector:- – Shine Controlling 12h – Reduces appearance of pores – Blemish Hiding – Complexion Unifying – Make-up Extending
