How to Wear Red- Part 2

When in doubt: Wear Red

RED I believe is one of the most depraved and underestimated
of all colors… being associated by people with anger or adultery; people generally forget its symbolism with Love and Sacrifice… where it naturally connects to Vitality and Beauty… we are conditioned to seek Danger & Blood with red…

Color Blocking Trend

I feel I’ll never be tired of writing about the trends of spring summer this season. So many trends and all so inspiring and wearable. One such highly wearable trend is Color Block. It is one trend which looks really very simple to pull off but can be really tricky, with just one fluke you can end up looking like a circus clown rather than the intended Style icon.

Inspired by a few lovely ladies Im sharing a few simple tips to help you create a fabulous look.

First things first pull out all the block color pieces from you closet, it can be that white shirt, your red or black jeans or that long lost orange vest you once bought. Now put it all out and pick any three colors, well more than three and you are up on the podium to hop like a rabbit, and now accessories but remember the rule :THREE COLORS

Try COLOR & PATTERNS-  Ease in some bright stripes or polka dots and pair them with block colors for a more bolder look (I like it that way) or if you are not a big risk taker then nothing better than putting in some neutrals.

WHITE: Biggest advantage of blocking with white in summer is for your complexion, white doesn’t radiate any hue thus giving a neutral palette to your skin. More over blocking with white gives you a freedom to put as  much color as possible in your accessories.

COLOR on COLOR: Two tones of a same color makes for a fabulous look as well. Michelle Obama created a fabulous look by wearing two tone blue paired with neutrals.

COLOR BLOCK: Here is a small example of complementary color blocks that you can try, There can be million others, but I guess then you’ll just get bored.

If you have ant suggestions or links to make it better do tell me. And I’d love to now how you are Color Blocking!
