Glamour & Drama is what defines women’s fashion, but frill or embellishment are not the only details that can give you a dramatic upheaval, a little bit graceful sophistication can easily make you turn the tables. PEPLUM is one such trend which can achieve that with Grace, dignity and of course a bit of illusion. It has stormed the runway, Jason Wu, Vera Wang, Dior, Armani, McQueen, Karen Walker, Rodarte there was hardly any designer who wasn’t bugged by this trend.
My personal favorite has to be Jason Wu this year, his dresses showcased refinement of couture with the dynamic movement, his silhouette were made of over-sweet graceful sophistication with an ease of a biker chic.
From mediterranean mystery to whimsical blue-green, the color BLUE has always captivated the aesthetic fancies.
Cobalt Blue- which has been defining fashion since last two years, has taken a more playful slide into greens making way for minty hues. We have seen mint reigning over all the trends this spring, making envious amalgamations with various powerful colors.
This year wear blue with black or mint
I feel I’ll never be tired of writing about the trends of spring summer this season. So many trends and all so inspiring and wearable. One such highly wearable trend is Color Block. It is one trend which looks really very simple to pull off but can be really tricky, with just one fluke you can end up looking like a circus clown rather than the intended Style icon.
Inspired by a few lovely ladies Im sharing a few simple tips to help you create a fabulous look.
First things first pull out all the block color pieces from you closet, it can be that white shirt, your red or black jeans or that long lost orange vest you once bought. Now put it all out and pick any three colors, well more than three and you are up on the podium to hop like a rabbit, and now accessories but remember the rule :THREE COLORS
Try COLOR & PATTERNS- Ease in some bright stripes or polka dots and pair them with block colors for a more bolder look (I like it that way) or if you are not a big risk taker then nothing better than putting in some neutrals.
WHITE: Biggest advantage of blocking with white in summer is for your complexion, white doesn’t radiate any hue thus giving a neutral palette to your skin. More over blocking with white gives you a freedom to put as much color as possible in your accessories.
COLOR on COLOR: Two tones of a same color makes for a fabulous look as well. Michelle Obama created a fabulous look by wearing two tone blue paired with neutrals.
COLOR BLOCK: Here is a small example of complementary color blocks that you can try, There can be million others, but I guess then you’ll just get bored.
If you have ant suggestions or links to make it better do tell me. And I’d love to now how you are Color Blocking!
